After you have gotten a referral from your doctor, you can go to the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Medical Portal and follow the instructions to the Complia site where you can register and manage your MMMP account. New cards are usually issued by the department within two weeks of registration.

This site is where all new patients will have to register and fill out the “New Patient Application”. This is also where you will go to renew your card, update your information, and report stolen or lost cards.

For more information on how to become a registered patient or caregiver, visit the Montana Department of Health and Human Services website.

If I have my medical marijuana card from another state, can I buy from SweetGrass?

How does the 5 oz. a month limit work?

It's on a 30-day cycle basis. For example, when you buy your first ounce on July 1st, your 30 days start. Even if you don't purchase your full 5 ounces in that 30 days it will fully reset (August 1st).

You are allowed to possess up to one ounce of cannabis or the equivalent of cannabis-infused products at a time.

Patients may purchase up to one ounce of cannabis or the equivalent of cannabis-infused products at a time in a 24 hour period.

Your provider may only sell you cannabis after your MMMP registry card has been received. Any brand new patient or patient whose card has been expired for more than 30 days that is getting added to the system after submitting their application on mycomplia will receive a temporary card so they can purchase cannabis while they wait for their official MMMP card to be mailed out. This is what is stated on a temporary card- "This temporary card expires 60 days after your application date OR five (5) business days after your application is approved OR immediately upon application denial. Emails are sent automatically when the status of your application changes."

You may NOT take your Cannabis or Cannabis-Infused products out of the state.

You may NOT use your Cannabis or Cannabis-Infused products in a public space where it is prohibited.

You may NOT divert your Cannabis or Cannabis-Infused products to others, including other registered cardholders.

Your card must be renewed annually, before the expiration date, to remain in good standing. (We suggest making an appointment for renewal 30-45 days before your card expires).

Keep your MMMP registry card in your possession at all times. You must have your card with you for every purchase.
